Hello everyone, On Friday as a school, we had a sports day. For the sports day, we got to dress up as our favourite sports person or in sport team colours. I dressed up in a crusaders top and some all blacks track pants. For the sports part of it, we did lots of different sport rotations. The sport rotations were hockey, netball, gaga dodge ball, and teball! My favourite sport we did was hockey, I liked hockey because the people running it showed us drills and we played a game of hockey also. Here are some photos of me playing some of the sports... Kia ora, Throughout lockdown school and in normal school we have been focusing on descriptive writing. I think I have definitely improved in metaphors and in hyperboles, smilies, personification and many more. Here is my newest descriptive writing piece..... “Slurp” was the sound of the giraffe placing his purple tongue on his mango ice-cream. When he dipped his tongue on to the luscious ice-cream his heart leapt around his lungs with so much joy! He had never been filled with so much happiness before. His tongue would not let go of the ice-cream as he never wanted this feeling to end, so his tongue looked stuck to the ice-cream like glue. The giraffe was mindfully thinking of what was in front of him.  The children were so glad that the “eternity long line” was worth the long wait to see the giraffe eating ice-cream! Hello everyone, I am now back to school. I am enjoying it very much! It is really good to be back with my friends! This week we have been just fixing up the work that we did in lockdown, also we presented our inquiry on oceans. It was very nerve-racking to present, but I just had to get up there and present all my amazing knowledge that I had worked hard on! We are also keeping on track with mindfulness and hui. The classroom is a bit different though, we are split onto 2 sides.... luckily I am with my friends. Being split onto 2 sides mean the teachers have to talk in the middle of the room so the 2 sides can hear. Hello everyone, Today My sister and I did a science experiment. It did not really make a big reaction, but you could tell what had happened. It was really cool and to see what reaction we got was good. It was very colourful and it looked like a piece of art! What you need : 2 bowls food colouring - I and my sister picked red, blue, pink, yellow ( but it is your choice ) Oil Water and a fork if you want to use it What the reaction is : The reaction was when oil and food colouring was put into the water the oil from the bottom of the bowl can up to the top, created something that looked like bubbles. Hello everyone, Online school has been going on for 4 weeks now. Online school has been fun to try out. In online school, we have a timetable with our weekly tasks on it. One of the tasks is inquiry. So today I will be sharing about my inquiry and what I have been doing. Inquiry For inquiry, our topic is oceans. Oceans has been an interesting topic to work on. In the area of the ocean topic, I choose to work on sea temperature rise. I have found that is not only caused by glaciers melting and heat but also by greenhouse gases. It has been good learning about sea temperature rise but bad at the same time learning about how it affects our future. Here are some interesting facts I have learned. I read this book in class and on an aduio that the teachers made ! The Mapmakers Race is about four kids and their parrot who go on an exciting journey together. The only thing is they left their mother behind on accident at the train station. But the race depended on their future and they need to win. Join them on their adventure, see them make new friends, learn new skills, and compete in the race! 

Hello everyone, This week we have cracked into online learning and scheduling the week out. So today I am going to share my thoughts on online learning and am going to tell you highlights of being in self-isolation. Online learning I think online learning has been good and fun to try out. Online learning is working out and I am glad we have it so we can keep track of things. It can be tuff not having that same kind of learning that you would get at school, but I think doing it online is still good. Highlights Chalk Art: My sister Eva and I have done chalk art on our driveway. It was very fun to make. We were also happy that we did it because lots of families and people around the area stopped and looked at our artwork. We were so happy that we made other people happy by doing our artwork.
